From our workshop to your mine site »

Normex Métal supports mining operations with the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of their equipment and structures. We handle the construction of new assemblies, component replacement, and work associated with scheduled shutdowns.

Based on your drawings and project requirements, we plan the work while taking into account existing facilities, site access, and the schedule. Our workshop and field teams work in coordination to ensure the smooth execution of your project.

Manufacturing according to project requirements

Custom-made mining shelters

We manufacture shelters for mining environments based on project plans and specifications. Dimensions, openings, and layout are determined by the intended use and site constraints.

Shop preparation takes into account transport, handling, and installation requirements. The scope of work may cover manufacturing alone or the coordination of all steps necessary to install the shelter.

For the transfer and handling of materials

Conveyors and chutes

Normex Métal manufactures and repairs structures, supports, conveyor components, and transfer chutes for mining facilities. We handle both new assemblies and the replacement of worn components.

Work is carried out in accordance with specifications regarding drawings, materials, and connection dimensions for existing equipment. When installation is part of the project scope, manufacturing is coordinated with the on-site work schedule.

Custom manufacturing

Step by step

» 01

Workshop fabrication

Manufacturing of tanks, steel structures, and custom parts and components. We work from your blueprints or assist with project preparation, depending on the requirements of the assignment.

» 02

In-process checks

The inspections specified in the work order accompany the manufacturing process. They allow the work to be verified against the requirements of the plans and specifications before proceeding to the next stages of production.

» 03

Delivery preparation

Parts and assemblies are prepared with transport, handling, and installation sequence requirements in mind. Delivery is coordinated with site needs.

» 04

On-site installation

When installation is included in the scope of work, our teams carry out the scheduled tasks in coordination with on-site personnel. Preparation takes into account access points, existing equipment, and the agreed-upon timeframe for the work.

Manufacturing according to your process

Industrial tanks

Normex Métal manufactures industrial tanks in accordance with project drawings and specifications. Dimensions, materials, openings, and connections are determined based on the intended use and integration into the facility.

When the process requires internal abrasion protection, the manufacturing process accounts for the specified lining, such as rubber lining. Preparation and lining requirements are coordinated with the relevant project stakeholders.

From workshop preparation to on-site assembly

Steel structures

We fabricate and install steel structures, equipment supports, and welded assemblies for mining facilities. The work is carried out in accordance with project drawings and requirements for connecting to existing structures.

Shop preparation, delivery, and assembly are coordinated based on site access, lifting equipment, and the work sequence. This approach aims to minimize on-site adjustments and facilitate installation.

For your equipment and installations

Maintenance and repair

Normex Métal carries out maintenance, repair, and component replacement work both in the workshop and on-site. Projects may involve items such as buckets, chutes, conveyor components, tanks, and steel structures.

We plan each intervention based on the specific work required, the condition of the equipment, and operational constraints. Depending on the project, we either handle the work ourselves or provide skilled wordforce to support your teams.

Planned on-site work

The necessary work, parts, and resources are specified prior to the intervention. For a planned shutdown, this preparation takes into account the available timeframe and the operations that need to be coordinated with other site teams.

Component repair and replacement

We carry out the refurbishment or replacement of the components specified in the project. Part fabrication and welding operations are organized in accordance with technical requirements and the equipment’s operating conditions.

Centralized coordination

A dedicated manager oversees your project and coordinates communication between your team, our workshop, and the personnel on site. Requirements, responsibilities, and project stages are defined in consultation with you.
